She's got her thing/And she knows how to use it/She tricks the boys/Cause she loves to abuse them/Her little black book/It goes nationwide/But no man on earth/Is a match for her pride/Bad girl needs a good guy/To tame her wild side/She's always in it to win it oh yeah/Bad girl says I'm alright/Just not quite her type/I tell her Nice guys finish/She calls me cute/But not too fast She says At best boy/You'll come in last/You're much too kind/For a girl like me/I said Then girl/You'll never set yourself free/Not that she'd know/Cause she's always the same/Wishing for losers/In a losing game
2.
Making friends/And we're strolling through the park/And we get home after dark/When it's late/Summer ends/We'll keep doing what we do/'Cause we never let school/Make us wait/We can always have fun today/Hanging out/With Gerald and the gang/This neighborhood will always/Bear our names/Climb to the tree house/We build in the vacant lot/We are kings of this street/It's our domain/We can always have fun today/We can always have fun today/Where we wind up/No one can ever say/But we can always have fun today/So we'll find out when we get there/It's never too late/Things are gonna go our way

(“You don’t wanna play with matches, kid. You’ll wind up burned!”)
4.
My mind is on fire/My thoughts are the embers/I'm left with ashes for my bread/Molded and cindered/I beat my brain against a wall/Can't bear it/My will is dead/Am I alone once again?/Can I trust another friend?/At times I stumble/But I cannot block the light/I will defy my own dead ends/Being hunted/By lion that prowls/Forcing me to face my shame/But it would be worse if I/Gave up, lied down/So I stand here/With a better name/I light a match under anxiety/Stand/back and watch it burn/But I only ever had a victory/A chosen will to discern/When I surrendered by destiny/And claimed love as my own/Time is my valley/Darkness my foe/Endurance bleeds/And there is hope/(There is hope)
5.
Core In-Teen 03:54
We were all hardcore/We were the in-teens/We drove old beat up cars/To shows on the scene/We played dirty guitars/And sang till we'd all scream/Playing the Warped Tour/Was our biggest dream/New fads can't kill/All those old memories/'Cause the scene, it's still alive in me/We played Dashboard covers/For the girls/And Yellowcard CDs/Rocked our small town worlds/I wanna go back/And brush off my old vans/And sing 182 songs/All over again/Record stores, comic shops/Gas/stations, parking lots/I'm not the same as I was then/Skateboards, summer heat/Nothing to do, young and free/Didn't have nothing/Except for you and me

about

"The Fall Blues" is the debut studio EP from Atlanta hard rock band / project Grungepunks. Aaron Reynolds, the songwriter and sole studio musician for the band, takes the Grungepunks sound to the next level with five songs ranging from hard rock to punk to acoustic to hardcore. Thematically the songs follow an emotional arc of battling with relationship struggles and anxiety, while also reminiscing on childhood and teenage years and the joy found during those times. Life is a journey full of ups and downs, and these songs are meant to encourage those who feel stuck in the valley. Whether you’re looking for early 2000s nostalgia, a rock-and-roll riff to dance to, or a hardcore song for the mosh pit, The Fall Blues EP has everything you need.

Grungepunks Atlanta, Georgia

Grungepunks revives the raw emotions and nerves of the early '90s that brought us Nirvana, Wish For Eden, Stone Temple Pilots, and Screaming Trees. In an era where rock music sounds over processed and sanitized, the band delivers songs that sounds like it was recorded and performed live. ... more
